RANCILIO SPECIALTY RS1 UNIQUE WORKFLOW DESIGN
The timeless design is one of the distinguishing features of RS1, a sturdy, stylish machine made of stainless steel, blending classic lines with the latest high-tech features. The machine was designed in partnership with the leading Italian company MOMO Design. Providing baristas with enhanced workflow, resulting in less preparation time and better customer experience. With the RS1, each aspect of a barista’s interaction with the espresso machine were carefully considered to create a seamless and comfortable working environment.
Grouphead actuation is simplified with buttons near the portafilter so that brewing can be initiated with the thumb upon inserting the portafilter. The portafilter features a redesigned, fully stainless steel construction with improved handles and larger basket size capacity, with a pitch that aids even tamping on either the edge of the bar or the top. White LED lights on either side of the grouphead provide ample lighting for brewing, and the digital shot clock provides both the extraction time and temperature. Along with brewing controls, the RS1 offers versatility in its design. The drip tray is adjustable to 3 different heights, facilitating brewing into shot glasses or directly into a cup. The machine body is only 18 inches high, encouraging customer interaction and service while providing ample room under the machine for barista tools and equipment. The entire drip tray is easily removable for cleaning, and dishwasher safe drip tray insets under each group allow for easy cleaning of the dirtiest areas.
All stainless steel body panels can be easily removed, customized, powder coated or branded to meet customer needs.Portafilter handles and rubber grips on the steam levers can be customized with wood or other materials. RS1 has been designed to reduce energy consumption and loss thanks to the insulated main boiler, the programmable water renewal, optional low power/eco mode. In addition, the micro-boilers for individual units can be switched off and that they can be programmed to switch off automatically when not in use. And for easy maintenance, all the internal components are arranged to speed up service operations.
