When is Golden Bean Australasia 2023?

  • Green Bean Workshop: Tuesday 14th November 2023
  • Golden Bean Judging and Conference: Wednesday 15th-Friday 17th November 2023
  • Finals and Awards Ceremony: Saturday 18th November 2023

How do I enter?

The Golden Bean Australasian coffee entries open in July 2023 and you will then be able to register online HERE.

How do I attend to judge?

Either:

  • Simply purchase a ticket online to attend. It is $550 for all days or $200 per day.
  • If you ENTER your coffee, six entries will get you a free ticket and become a Golden Bean VIP.

Can I enter more than one coffee per category?

Yes! You can enter up to 10 coffees per category.

How do I become overall champion?

To become the Overall Golden Bean Champion, and take home a custom Reg Barber made Golden Bean Trophy, roasters need to enter a coffee into three categories:

Category 1: Espresso

Category 2: Milk-Based

Category 3: Filter

What if I haven't received Golden Bean bags?

  • If you don’t have Golden Bean branded bags send your coffee in 500g unbranded bags.
  • Send in your entries (or extra entries) in unbranded CLEARLY MARKED with the packing slip stapled to the outside.
  • Only 6 were sent out per roaster.

What is the Awards night theme?

When will I know the results?

The results will be posted on social media platforms and the website up to 72 hours after the event.

How do I get my medal?

If you do not attend the Awards Ceremony on Saturday 18th November 2023, you will need to wait up to 30 days for your medals to arrive.

When should I send my coffee in and where to?

All competition entries are due by 10th November 2023
