USA-based technical packaging company FlexPak Services invented PrimeVent® Coffee Degassing Vent to reduce plastic waste without sacrificing bean quality.

Superior Performance: PrimeVent’s multilayered vent structure contains specially engineered microchannels to accommodate the off-gassing rate of the specific type / profile / volume of the roasted bean within. These microchannels automatically release carbon dioxide from the sealed package and trap the volatile aromatic coffee molecules, leading to elevated flavor and prolonged shelf life.

Eco-Friendly Packaging: PrimeVent’s lightweight, compact design uses 97% less plastic compared to a traditional button valve.

Operational Efficiency: PrimeVent can be integrated into any packaging material and any pouch type, and can even be hand applied. For those using VFFS lines, PrimeVent comes pre-applied on printed roll stock.
