Paul Asquith

Head Judge

With 20 years already spent committed to coffee, Paul's passion is for digesting the endless possibilities and knowledge surrounding coffee flavour development.

After winning the Australasian Grand Barista Championship in 2012 and placing in various ASCA regional barista championships, judging at a national level and category head judge in the Australian International Coffee Awards and at Golden Bean, Paul knows just how good coffee can be and the important role everyone plays, from producer to barista, in developing and nurturing flavour. Captivated by coffee’s diversity, Paul is excited to be part of a generation passionate about improving coffee in all aspects from farming, processing and brewing, taking that into the consumers hands.

With stints at Gloria Jean’s Coffee, Grinders Coffee, Ona Coffee, Seven Miles Coffee and Josie Coffee, Paul has decided to diversify his career into supporting the industry through water, joining Pentair as a Business Development Manager in filtration for coffee.
